JOINT BASE MCGUIRE-DIX-LAKEHURST –

Members of the Defense Health Agency visited Joint Base McGuire-Dick-Lakehurst to gain perspective on the unique capabilities and mission of the joint base and its military treatment facilities.

“The willingness to work together and embrace a collaborative atmosphere stands out to me the most here,” said U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Tracy Isil, deputy director of small market and stand-alone medical organization (SSO) for DHA. “People impress me more than anything.

Easill, along with Master Sgt. Paul Ellis, SSO Senior Advisor for DHA, toured the joint base to see personnel in action and gain insight into JB MDL’s unique MTFs. They also visited the Deborah Heart and Lung Center, which recently partnered with the 874th Medical Group to establish a Partnership Primary Care Clinic.

“The staff’s willingness to learn and adapt stands out here,” Ellis said. “The complexity of the commonality in this base is remarkable and they have demonstrated their interoperability.”
