Mill Valley Little League junior team has just won the District 3 title for the first time since 2013. With a record of 5-1, they outscored their opponents 61-28 overall. Their only loss was against Gallinas Valley, but they bounced back with an impressive 18-5 win against West Marin in their last game. In that game, six different players had two or more RBIs.

In baseball news, the San Rafael Pacifics had a standout performance with a 13-4 road win in Dublin. John Bikos drove in three runs, and Aki Buckson hit his seventh home run of the season. Starting pitcher Owen Cuffe pitched eight innings, striking out eight batters. The Pacifics were scheduled to play the Leprechauns again on Wednesday before Thursday’s game against Martinez at home.

Meanwhile, in the District 3 9-10 playoffs, the top four teams advanced to Friday’s semifinals. The Twin Cities faced Novato South in one game, and Novato South earned a hard-fought 3-0 victory thanks to Xavier Eaton’s impressive pitching performance. Novato North also advanced to the semifinals after an dominant 11-0 win against Tiburon Peninsula.
