In a surprising turn of events, Defense Minister Ivan Anušić (HDZ) has decided to freeze the status of a student at the Faculty of Kinesiology in Zagreb. This decision comes after an article was published about his studies, which attracted attention and potential pressure on faculty and professors due to his ministerial position.
Anušić completed a three-year study at the Faculty of Kinesiology and obtained matriculation status before enrolling in postgraduate studies. Initially, he had planned to continue his studies due to his stay in Zagreb and for more time. However, after receiving numerous media inquiries about his studies, he changed his mind and decided to freeze his student status.
It is worth noting that Anušić had originally dropped out of high school to join volunteers who defended Croatia at the age of 17. He later enrolled in studies in 1997 and gained first coach status in 2021 before starting the next two years of postgraduate studies. Despite this background, it seems that Anušić wants to relieve any potential pressure or interest on faculty and professors by freezing his student status.
