Monarch Landing, a continuing care retirement/life plan community in Naperville, IL, has recently introduced Monarch at Home, a home health program designed to assist independent residents who require help but wish to remain in their own homes. The program helps residents stay in their units for longer periods and provides them with access to 15-minute visits from nursing staff while outside agencies typically charge in one-hour increments. This means that residents can save money while receiving the care they need to continue living independently.

Monarch at Home also includes Care Companions who are available to help with outings, personal care, household chores and other tasks that residents may need assistance with. A nurse is always available to coordinate medications and provide additional services such as wound care and injections on physician orders. Companion caregivers are carefully matched with residents to ensure a good fit, and all staff members undergo thorough background checks and adhere to strict guidelines.

Monarch Landing is owned and operated by Harrison Senior Care Development based in New York City, which is also part-equity with Life Care Services. Other CCRCs have expanded their offerings to include home care services like Monarch at Home. This new service allows seniors living independently at Monarch Landing to receive the necessary support without having to leave the comfort of their own homes.
