Laguna Beach College District Director of Technologies Michael Morrison has been named the 2023 Technologies Administrator of the Year by the Association of California College Administrators (ACSA) Area 17, covering all Orange County college districts.

ACSA is the biggest umbrella organization for college leaders in the nation. Area 17 focuses on serving educational leaders in pursuit of equity and excellence to meet the diverse wants of all students in Orange County. 1 of ACSA’s priorities is to assure that college leaders are recognized for their excellence and commitment to public education Administrators of the Year are chosen for their outstanding functionality and achievements in their respective categories.

“Mr. Morrison’s technologies leadership and innovation has paved the way for new teaching solutions that engage our students and inspire our employees to discover distinct tools and platforms for experiential studying,” mentioned Superintendent Jason Viloria. “He has led our technologies initiatives for almost a decade, but the influence of his function will extend far beyond his time with LBUSD.

Morrison was nominated by Executive Assistant Superintendent and Board Victoria Weber and Thurston Middle College Principal Jo Vidal and shocked by the award announcement by Viloria, technologies solutions employees, college districts and web page administrators.

“I am honored to acquire this award from ACSA,” mentioned Morrison. “I genuinely think in the function ACSA does in developing possibilities to connect with peers and find out from every other’s knowledge. I am fortunate to be in a district that supports inventive options. Absolutely nothing I have achieved would be achievable without having the outstanding group at LBUSD and the supportive Board of Education.”

ACSA Area 17 will recognize all award winners at the Orange County Administrator of the Year Banquet on Might eight in Irvine.
