X owner Elon Musk has announced that the Grok chatbot will no longer be exclusive to Premium+ subscribers and will also be available for other paid tiers of the platform by the end of this week. The Grok ‘chatbot’ was introduced in tests as part of the Premium+ subscription last year. This generative artificial intelligence (AI) model provides real-time answers to user questions with a touch of humor that may not be for everyone, as Musk mentioned during his launch.

Recently, KSAI, the company’s artificial intelligence division, shared the model and architecture of the network used by the ‘chatbot’ on GitHub, stating that they trained a Grok-large language model from scratch with a significant amount of data. Musk announced that by the end of the week, Grok will be enabled for all Premium subscribers, not just those at the highest level. The firm has been working to improve the ‘chatbot’s’ level of humor to offer an “independent way of entertainment”.

The basic X Premium level costs 3.63 euros per month, while the Premium level costs 9.68 euros per month. However, this does not include access to Grok chatbot which is available for an additional fee at 19.36 euros per month for premium plus users only.
