The Browns have signed former Jet Justin Hardy, a key special teams player, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport. Hardy, who was named a Pro Bowler after the 2022 season, spent the last three seasons with the Jets but will now join the Browns. No contract details have been released yet.

Hardy’s experience and success on special teams make him a valuable addition to the Browns’ roster. During his time with the Jets, he recorded 31 tackles and a forced fumble despite playing mostly one snap in the secondary. Prior to his time with the Jets, Hardy played four years with the Saints where he saw more playing time on defense and even had a 77-yard punt return. However, special teams has always been his primary focus and that is expected to continue with his new team.

Hardy’s skills in this area will likely be a key asset for the team moving forward. He will bring much needed experience and expertise to Cleveland’s special teams unit. Details of Hardy’s contract with the Browns have not yet been released, but his signing is expected to bolster their roster and give them an edge over their opponents.
