Denver Broncos have signed free agent outside linebacker Dondrea Tillman to a three-year deal, including a $10,000 bonus. The 26-year-old last played for the United Football League’s Birmingham Stallions this spring, where he won three straight championships with the team. During his time with Stallions, he accumulated 92 tackles and 8.5 sacks, with three of those sacks coming in 2024. Before joining Birmingham in 2022, Tillman totaled 26.5 sacks over the past three seasons at Division II Indiana University of Pennsylvania, showcasing his skills as a dog chaser.

With the addition of Tillman, the Broncos look to strengthen their defense and continue their pursuit of success this upcoming season. However, they will be missing out on Drew Sanders for the start of the season as he tore his Achilles early in the team’s offseason conditioning program. To make room for Tillman on the 90-man roster this offseason, the team will need to make a suitable move, highlighting the competitiveness and depth of the linebacker position for the Broncos.

The line room that Tillman will join includes Jonathon Cooper, Baron Browning, Nick Bonito, Jaylon Allen, John Ellis, Thomas Inkum, Ronnie Perkins and Durrell Nchami. With such a strong group of linebackers on board, it is clear that defense will be a top priority for Denver heading into next season.

Tillman’s signing marks an exciting new chapter for Denver as they continue their quest for success in the NFL. With his impressive track record and talent on display during his time with Birmingham Stallions and Indiana University of Pennsylvania Division II football program respectively; he brings a wealth of experience and skill to the table.

Overall with Tillman’s addition to their roster and other offseason moves; The Broncos are set up well to compete in what promises to be an exciting NFL season ahead!
