New Co-Production Deal between Histoire TV and Big Media Brings Scanning History to a Wider Audience.

Histoire TV, the general history network owned by TF1 Group, has recently joined European science co-production Scanning History. The deal allows the channel to have exclusive TV rights in France and French-speaking Africa. Together with partners in Germany, Spain, and the Czech Republic, the broadcasters will shape the editorial direction of the six-part programme.

Scanning History is a fascinating series that explores how technological advances have impacted modern archaeology. With an emphasis on scientific techniques such as satellite photography, digital imaging, and isotope analysis, the series provides an in-depth look at how research methods have evolved over time.

Christophe Sommet, CEO of Histoire TV expressed his excitement about bringing high-quality entertaining and informative series to their viewers. By securing rights to early production scans history, Histoire TV gained editorial input as well as market exclusivity. Danny Wilk, president of BIG Media welcomed Histoire TV as a new international partner and highlighted the global appeal of Scanning History and Big Media’s ability to create content that resonates with viewers around the world.

Histoire TV is distributed in over 30 French-speaking countries and has more than 14 million subscribers. The network’s collaboration with Big Media to scan history and license additional series demonstrates their commitment to providing engaging and informative content to a wide audience.

In addition to Scanning History, Histoire TV also secured a deal with Big Media to license two finished series: Spicraft and Secret Vatican Files: The Pope & the Devil. These two series are perfect additions to Histoire TV’s lineup of entertaining and informative shows.
