The Regional Science Bowl took place at a college in southeastern New Mexico, where seven teams competed for the chance to showcase their knowledge in the national academic science competition. Participating schools included Carlsbad High School, Carlsbad Early College, New Mexico Military Institute and Hobbs High School. The New Mexico Military Institute team emerged as the winner, consisting of two sophomores, a junior and a senior. Their exceptional knowledge in math and science helped them secure the #1 title and earn them a spot in the upcoming national competition scheduled for April 25-29.

The competition was fierce as each team demonstrated their expertise in various scientific fields. Despite the challenges, it was an exciting event for both participants and spectators alike. The dedication and hard work of the New Mexico Military Institute team paid off as they took first place, showcasing their talent and abilities on the national stage.
