Adena Health recently announced the addition of two new vascular surgeons to its team, signaling an expansion of their services. Dr. Rahul Kar and Dr. Vikram Rao have joined the vascular surgery department at Adena Health, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise in a variety of vascular conditions such as aortic disease, carotid disease, and limb salvage.
Dr. Rao, who has practiced in Cleveland for nearly two decades, now serves as medical director of vascular surgery services at Adena Health. He is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery, having received his medical degree from Stanley College of Medicine in India and completed his residency at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta. He trained with fellowships in trauma surgery and vascular surgery in Detroit.
Dr. Carr, who previously practiced as a vascular surgeon in Washington, D.C., returned to Ohio after receiving his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed a residency in New York and a fellowship in California before joining Adena Health’s team. Both doctors are dedicated to providing the latest treatments available and ensuring that patients receive quality and up-to-date care.
The addition of these two highly trained physicians strengthens Adena Health’s vascular program and improves the level of care available to patients in the region, emphasizing the importance of having a caring and experienced team of providers to support patients on their treatment journey.
