Rough Guides, an online travel planning company, has recently released a poll asking its readers to vote for the most beautiful countries in the world. After receiving thousands of votes, they have now compiled their list of the top 20 most beautiful countries.

Coming in first place is New Zealand, known for its diverse landscape and stunning natural beauty. With over 600 islands, the country offers an array of scenery, from pristine beaches like Maitai Bay to towering peaks like Mt Taranaki. Canada secured third place on this list followed by Switzerland in fourth place. Both countries offer a range of natural beauty, from snow-capped mountains to crystal-clear lakes and vast forests. These two countries are also popular for their skiing and hiking opportunities.
