In a recent NFL meeting, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid expressed his support for a radical change being proposed for the NFL’s kickoff. He stated that he is in favor of a small hit rule, similar to what was attempted in the KSFL. Reid believes it could bring interesting and exciting changes to the game if the rule passes.

The competition committee presented the idea as a way to reduce injuries while increasing the level of excitement in the game. The proposed rule change would see 10 players on each team line up within five yards of each other during kickoffs. The outcome of the vote on the rule change, which requires 24 yes votes, is still uncertain. However, bosses seem likely to back the proposal.
