Recently, a case of a social media platform allowing harmful anti-Semitic messaging has sparked concerns about content moderation. The platform has been criticized for its approach to free speech, allowing views deemed harmful to be posted under the guise of individual expression. This raises questions for advertisers and the potential impact on user base.

Despite these concerns, the NFL has confirmed that it will continue to advertise on the platform because its fans are there. NFL chief media and operations officer Brian Rolapp said that the league will not stop advertising on X despite current difficulties with content moderation. While some may argue that supporting such a platform indirectly supports harmful views, the NFL has stood firm in its support of X so far.
