For the first time ever, Nickelodeon and CBS Sports are joining forces to present an alternate telecast of Super Bowl LVIII. The game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers will air tonight on Nickelodeon, providing a unique twist to traditional game day telecasts.

The parent company of CBS Sports and Nickelodeon is Paramount Global. To make this special event even more exciting, popular cartoon characters SpongeBob SquarePants will be joining the live telecast. Sandy Cheeks, voiced by Carolyn Lawrence, can be seen in promotional photos on the sidelines of an actual football field.

SpongeBob SquarePants and Patrick Starr will call the game alongside CBS Sports analyst Nate Burleson and announcer Noah Eagle. Larry Lobster will also provide live commentary. This dynamic team promises to deliver a fun-filled experience for all viewers.

Nickelodeon has been airing “NFL Slimetime” since 2021, a weekly show hosted by Burleson and child actor Dylan Gilmore. During the game, they will perform live from Allegiant Stadium, adding another layer of excitement to this already thrilling event.

If you’re watching the game with kids, the Nickelodeon broadcast may be just what you need to keep them engaged and entertained throughout the night. With its unique blend of animation and graphics, this alternate telecast is sure to be a hit with both kids and adults alike!
