Elijah Beres, the son of Plaxik Beres, has decided to continue his college football career at Notre Dame. The junior wide receiver is 6 feet 1 inch tall and plays at DePaul Catholic High School in Wayne, New Jersey. This commitment adds a significant value to Notre Dame’s already impressive 2025 recruiting class.

Notre Dame’s recruiting efforts also landed Ivan Taylor, the son of former NFL player Ike Taylor and a quarterback. Ike Taylor was a teammate of Plaxic Burres during his time in the NFL.

Plaxico Beres had a successful NFL career after playing college football at Michigan State. He played for the Steelers, Giants and Jets and caught the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl XLII. He celebrated this accomplishment with his son, Elijah, on the field.

Elijah’s commitment to Notre Dame reflects the continuation of his family’s football legacy, and his talent will undoubtedly contribute to the team’s future success.
