In Orrville, there is a proposal to add tattoo and body piercing shops downtown. While some people are excited about the prospect of getting a natural, sun-kissed look with semi-permanent freckle tattoos on their faces, others have expressed concern that these tattoos may age poorly. Some even liken them to “hobo prints”.

Genesis Beauty Salons is also looking to expand its services by offering microblading, a semi-permanent eyebrow process that is categorized as a tattoo under Ministry of Health regulations. The request to include microblading will be reviewed by the Orville Planning Commission before a final decision is made by the City Council.

Meanwhile, the council approved the sale of approximately 4.9 acres to GMEG LLC for the construction of an industrial building near Hostetler Road. As for safety concerns, Steve Wheeler assured the community that the city is prepared for the upcoming total solar eclipse, with plans in place for potential traffic management and additional staff availability.

The next session of the council is scheduled for Monday, April 15 at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall, where these issues will be discussed further.
