In an attempt to clarify the financial and organizational conditions necessary for the successful implementation of a restructuring plan, Antero GmbH, which was founded in 2009 and has been operating since 2021 in the former premises of a snowboard factory in Furnitz, Austria, intends to continue operations. The company is currently facing over-indebtedness due to the pandemic and its aftermath, which led to a decline in retail sales. The bankruptcy proceedings have been opened over its assets, with liabilities totaling 2.274 million euros. Originally, the company had 15 employees, but now only three remain.
Antero GmbH’s online platform offers a variety of products to customers, including individual snowboards, winter sports items, textiles, community features and entertainment options for fans of the board scene. The company also caters to companies that produce individual small batches for special occasions. Despite these challenges, Antero GmbH intends to continue operations in order to make the best possible use of existing raw materials and determine whether it can implement its restructuring plan successfully.
The company belongs to Apricum GmbH and has accumulated a loss of 854,000 euros during the financial year 2022 with a negative capital of 489,000 euros. About 600,000 euros of liabilities refer to rights to participate in profits.
