The Posen football team continues to build momentum as they defeated Charlton Heston with a 64-6 victory. Jack Rommel led the team with four total touchdowns, while Ethan Rommel and John Enest scored two touchdowns each. The Vikings, who are 4-0, will face Mia next Thursday. In four games this season, Posen scored 216 points and allowed just 46 points to opponents. Jack Rommel had an impressive performance in Friday’s game, with 169 rushing yards and three touchdowns, as well as 131 yards and a touchdown pass. Ethan Rommel rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns, while Ennest had 96 yards and two touchdowns on just three catches. Eli Chojnacki contributed 61 rushing yards and 21 receiving yards, while Logan Thiem added 110 receiving yards and a touchdown. Defensively, Chojnacki had seven solo tackles and seven assists, Enest had two tackles, and Colton Paul had six solo tackles and two assists.
In soccer, the Alcona team secured its first win of the season by defeating Fairview 8-0. It was a team effort as eight different players scored, including Preston Sharp, Cole Apper, Colin McKenna, Carter Apper, Dawson Rigby, Anthony Perez, Vinnie Mahalak and Vincent Nardi. Alcona, with a record of 1-3-2, plays under the lights at Oscoda next Monday at 7 p.m.
