As a result of their 31-19 loss to the Giants, the Washington Commanders are struggling to find a way to wash off the defeat. Unfortunately, there is no hot water in any of the locker rooms at FedEx Field, leaving players without a shower after the game. The Commanders have confirmed that an equipment failure in the main water heater caused the issue and it could not be resolved during the game without completely shutting off the water to the stadium. This is not the first time there have been problems with the pipes at FedEx Field, but this time it has made things worse for the home team.
The Commanders’ spokesman stated that “This issue has made an already difficult day even worse for our players.” The team will have to find some other way to stave off the stink of falling to 4-7 on the season. It is unclear when or if this problem will be resolved, but one thing is certain – it is not going away anytime soon. The Commanders will need to focus on finding ways to win games and not getting bogged down by issues like this one.
