On Monday night in south Miami-Dade County, Florida, Ezekiel Brown was arrested after attempting to evade police on an orange sports bike. Detectives in an unmarked police car spotted Brown, 44, riding a stolen motorcycle on a sidewalk and attempted to stop him. However, Brown refused to comply and began recklessly chasing the officers.

Despite the use of “police emergency equipment,” Brown continued to elude the detectives until he abandoned the motorcycle near Southwest 288 Street and Kentucky Road. The officers were able to apprehend him and he was subsequently booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center early Tuesday morning.

According to records, Brown’s driver’s license had been suspended on March 11. In court on Tuesday, he faced charges in four cases including grand theft, fleeing and eluding police, driving with a suspended license and reckless driving. His bond was set at $5,300. Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Laura Maria Gonzalez-Marquis will preside over his case for the latest breaking news updates, stay informed with VPLG Local10.com.
