Jacob Asher Galbraith, a Northern Virginia native, is the owner of Asher’s Coffee Beans located in Old Southwest at the corner of Fifth Street and Campbell Avenue. Galbraith is pursuing a career in the food and beverage industry after earning a degree in culinary nutrition from Johnson & Wales University. He has extensive experience working as a chef at Wilderness Adventure in New Castle, managing restaurants at Springtree Health & Rehabilitation Center in Roanoke, and even launching his own coffee business in 2021.

Galbraith started out with events at a hardware store in Salem before expanding to include farmers markets and wholesale. In 2021, he opened a shop where he roasts his own beans using the Aillio Bullet drum in the LEAP kitchen. The shop offers an impressive selection of 17 different blends and single-origin coffees from around the world. The current best seller is a low acid roast from Peru.

Asher’s Coffee Beans can be found at 425 Campbell Ave SW in Roanoke, where customers can enjoy freshly roasted coffee beans and a unique experience that sets it apart from other coffee shops.
