As a four-star offensive lineman, N’Kie Winn has always been drawn to programs that foster a positive culture and have strong relationships within the team. That’s why his decision to commit to Rutgers football was influenced by the culture and relationships he found within the program.

According to On3, Winn is considered one of the best players in Michigan in his class, and he held offers from several other big-name programs such as Arkansas, Cincinnati and Wisconsin. However, it was Rutgers that caught his eye for its welcoming atmosphere and strong coaching staff.

During an interview with ‘D Zone’ at the Get Mauled offensive line camp, Wynn emphasized how important it was for him to build meaningful relationships with coaches and teammates. He spoke highly of his bond with offensive line coach Pat Flaherty and graduate assistant Alexander Officer, noting that they had a special connection based on shared experiences.

Winn also praised Coach Schiano for his family values and transparency in communication. He felt right at home with the Rutgers program and was drawn to its positive culture, which he believes will help him grow both as an athlete and as a person.
