The Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Company and the village of Saranac Lake are excited to announce the 10th annual Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Truck Parade and Tree Lighting, which will be held on Friday, December 1 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. with a procession of fire trucks from Broadway to Main Street. This year’s special guest is none other than Santa Claus himself!
Following the parade, the festivities continue with the Berkeley Green Tree Lighting Ceremony from 6:15 to 7 p.m. Santa will be front and center, lighting the tree while everyone is invited to join in singing with the Northern Lights Choir. Warm cookies and hot cocoa will be provided by local firefighters.
For young children, there will be a chance to visit Santa Claus at the Free Library Saranac na Jezera from 7 to 9 p.m. Children are welcome to share their wish lists with Santa and capture their special moment with a photo.
At 8:30 p.m., a beautiful 40-foot tree donated by Moody Tree Farm will be lit in Riverside Park, creating a truly magical atmosphere for all who attend this event.
This year’s event is made possible through the support and cooperation of several valued organizations, including the Women’s Civic Chamber, Saranac Lake Free Library, Adirondack Health and Northern Lights Choir.
Fire departments, businesses, and organizations interested in entering vehicles in the parade can RSVP by contacting Santa Parade President Douglas Peck at [518-891-2414](mailto:518-891-2414) or [vestfirefighter17@hotmail.com](mailto:vestfirefighter17@hotmail.com).
