Due to low wind power production, the price of electricity stocks increased this week. The taxable average price of electricity on Saturday is approximately 11.3 cents per kilowatt hour, a slight decrease from Thursday’s average taxable price of 16.3 cents per kilowatt hour. On Thursday, the highest cost of electricity was over 24 cents per kilowatt hour. Despite this, the average price of electricity with taxes on Friday is around 14.5 cents per kilowatt hour and rose above 18 cents during peak hours.

The taxed price of electricity remains above more than 10 cents per kilowatt hour for most of Saturday, but at its most expensive it costs only 16.12 cents per kilowatt hour including taxes. The lowest cost of electricity on Saturday is at midnight on the night before Saturday and Sunday when it costs about 7.3 cents per kilowatt hour with tax, which is less expensive compared to the average November price that was approximately 7.3 cents per kilowatt hour.
