Science Kid World Premiere at Bristol Old Vic: A Journey Through the Creation of IVF

The world premiere of Gareth Farr’s Science Kid is set to take place at Bristol Old Vic, with performances kicking off on June 5. Tom Felton, known for his role in the Harry Potter films, will star as Robert Edwards, one of the pioneering doctors behind IVF. The play, which deals with the creation of IVF in fertility treatment, will run from June 11 to July 6.

The cast for Science Kid includes Jamie Glover, Meg Bellamy, Adele Leons, Sonoya Mizuno and Sheena Steptoe. Other cast members include Saikat Ahmed, Gruffudd Glynn, Bobby Hirston, Amy Lawton, Bebe Sanders and Everal A Walsh. The play is directed by Matthew Dunster, who has a personal connection to the subject having fathered a child through IVF.

With scenic design by Anna Fleischle and costume design by Angelica Rush, Science Kid promises to be an unforgettable production that explores the revolutionary treatment of IVF in fertility treatment. Tickets are now available for purchase at BristolOldVic.org.uk.
