On Monday, the Rams received some positive news regarding the status of receiver Cooper Kupp. After further testing on his right ankle, Kupp has been diagnosed with a lateral ankle sprain and is considered day-to-day. This means that he could potentially play against the Cardinals this Sunday, as coach Sean McVay has stated that it’s a real possibility.
McVay also mentioned that they will monitor the functionality of Kupp’s ankle throughout the week, but based on his initial assessment, he believes Kupp will do everything in his power to make it back onto the field.
In addition to Kupp’s potential return, the Rams will also be welcoming back fullback Kyren Williams this week. Williams has been out since Week 6 after spraining his left ankle and is expected to make a significant impact on their offense once again. According to McVay, Williams’ productivity, energy in the game, and overall presence have been missed since his injury.
