Shohei Ohtani, the Japanese baseball sensation, was seen watching the spring training game between the Los Angeles Angels and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. The 29-year-old has made a name for himself in the baseball world over the past few years, starting from his high school days in Mizuzawa, Japan. Ohtani began his professional career with Japan’s Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters in 2013 before moving to Major League Baseball in 2018 to join the Los Angeles Angels.

Ohtani’s skills as both a pitcher and player have earned him recognition and accolades in the baseball world. In 2021, he was voted the American League Most Valuable Player after hitting 45 home runs, stealing 25 bases and hitting five triples in a single season. This set records and cemented his status as one of the top players in Major League Baseball.

In addition to his success on the field, Ohtani has secured lucrative endorsement deals with companies such as Boss, Fanatics and Seiko Watch, generating a significant sum of at least $35 million annually according to Forbes. Despite this success, Ohtani recently underwent elbow surgery and is expected to be sidelined until 2025 as he focuses on his recovery and return to peak performance on the baseball field.
