The upcoming 2023-24 World Cup season promises to be a thrilling one, with several big names vying for the top spot. One such athlete is Norway’s Espen Granerud, who is aiming to win his third overall trophy in the competition. This would make him the fourth man in history to achieve this feat.

Granerud dominated last year’s competition, winning six more titles than his nearest rival. He will face stiff competition from Poland’s David Kubacki, who finished fourth in last year’s event and is looking to improve on his performance. Austria’s Stefan Kraft, who finished second in last year’s competition, will also be gunning for his fourth overall title.

Japan’s Kobayashi Ryoyu, the reigning Olympic champion, will be hoping to improve on his fifth-place finish from last season. Slovenia’s Anze Lanisek, who finished third in last year’s competition, and Poland’s Piotr Zila, the reigning individual world hill champion, will also be ones to watch in the upcoming event.

Switzerland’s Simon Amann is another big name in the competition. He has won four Olympic gold medals and will compete in his 26th World Cup season. The Polish duo of Zilla and Kubacki are favored to win the men’s big mountain super team event after competing in the inaugural event in Lake Placid last year.
