Paul Frederick Anderson, 44, passed away at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness surrounded by his loved ones. Born in Mansfield, Ohio, he was the middle son of Terry and Marcy Anderson. He had an older brother, David, and a younger brother, Michael.
Paul graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School in 1998 and went on to attend Duke University where he earned a degree in Economics in 2002. Over the years, he made his home in Austin, Texas as well as Pittsburgh and parts of Maryland.
Paul was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing basketball with his brothers growing up. He was particularly fond of the Duke Blue Devils, Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State Nittany Lions.
Paul is survived by his parents and siblings and their families. David and Emily Anderson are the parents of Sydney (18) and Jack (14), while Michael and Jana Anderson are the parents of Misha (14), Luke (13) and Maggie (10). His family came to visit during his final days.
In honor of Paul’s memory, donations are being requested to be made to any charity of one’s choice. There will be no visitation or service held at this time.
