ST. PAUL, Minn.– A college project turned into a true-life threat. Scientific club from St. Paula, a seventh- and eighth-grader at Obtain Language Academy, tested a sample of water close to their college and was shocked by what they identified.
Beaver Lake is positioned straight behind a public charter college. Emily Wondriska’s conservation club took samples from the lake in April, just after the water had thawed.
They took numerous one hundred milliliter water samples back to their classroom and separated the water from any solids in it. The solids have been left on a graphoscope paper disc and placed below a microscope.

The conservation club spotted microplastics on the disk.
