The Fulton, New York Police Department has successfully located a missing vulnerable person using a drone. A member of the family reported the person missing on Monday evening, and police quickly mobilized a drone operator to assist in the search and rescue.
The drone was deployed around 7:50 p.m. to cover a wooded area near the 600 block of Gansworth Street. Using thermal imaging, the drone operator was able to locate the missing person around 8:12 p.m. The operator then directed ground units to the location, where it was established that the missing person was in good health and that the police officers helped him out of the forest. They were then reunited with their family.
