R&B superstar Usher is set to perform at the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show, where he will sing some of his biggest hits like “Yeah!”, “Love in This Club”, “U Remind Me”, “Burn” and “Confessions”. The performance was chosen by Jay-Z, who is producing it through his company Roc Nation.

Usher expressed his excitement for the opportunity, calling it an “honor of a lifetime” and saying that it had been on his “bucket list” for years. He promised to put on a show unlike anything he’s ever done before and thanked everyone who made it possible.

It may come as a surprise that the Super Bowl halftime show isn’t paid for by the NFL. Although they cover the substantial production costs of the entire show, including travel expenses for artists, performers are not paid for their services. Despite this, the short timeframe of the performance means that artists will likely see a boost in record sales and streaming figures. In Usher’s case, this could mean a large number of listeners discovering his new album COMING HOME.
