Taylor Swift was the biggest winner at the 2024 iHeart Radio Music Awards, taking home six awards despite not attending the event in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, Forbes reported that Swift has reached billionaire status, making her the first person to do so based solely on songwriting and performing. She was ranked 14th on the list of billionaires, with a net worth of $1.1 billion.

Swift had a successful 2023, thanks in large part to her Eras tour, which became the first concert tour in history to gross more than $1 billion. The tour sold 4.35 million tickets, grossing an estimated $1.04 billion. In the US alone, concerts added about $4.3 billion to the country’s gross domestic product. Swift also released a concert film from the tour, which became the highest-grossing concert film ever in North America.

In her acceptance speech for Artist of the Year at the iHeartRadio Music Awards, Swift thanked her fans for their support and expressed gratitude for their contributions to her success.

“I couldn’t have done it without all of you,” she said in a recorded video message. “Your choices – whether it’s coming to my concerts or listening to my music – they all make a difference.”

The news of Swift’s billionaire status comes as no surprise to many fans who have followed her career since she first emerged on the music scene over a decade ago.

“Taylor has always been one of my favorite artists,” said one fan on social media after hearing about her new achievement. “But becoming a billionaire? That takes things to another level.”
