In the full-service segment, most customers are open to using tablets at their tables to order or pay for their meals. On the other hand, 7 out of 10 customers in the limited service segment are likely to use smartphone apps to order food, while 8 out of 10 delivery customers prefer to order through these apps.

Restaurant operators have an opportunity to improve customer experience, boost marketing efforts and work more efficiently through technology integration. While most operators view technology as the core of their business rather than cutting edge innovation, finding the right balance between convenience and hospitality is key.
