The Boston Brigade, a new addition to the Quincy sports scene, is preparing for its inaugural season in the American Flag Football League (AFFL) at Veteran’s Memorial Stadium. Founded as one of the first four professional football teams ever, the Brigade is set to play its first home doubleheader on May 11th against the Nashville Nighthawks and Las Vegas Lucky Sevens.

Former BSU quarterback James Cahoon showcased his skills at the Holy Cross Pro Day on March 21, 2024, catching the attention of NFL scouts in attendance. This impressive performance put Cahoon on the radar of pro football teams looking for potential talent.

The Boston Brigade’s season will consist of eight games, starting on April 27 in Las Vegas and ending on June 15 in Nashville. The championship will take place on June 22 in Dallas, capping off what is expected to be an exciting season for the team. The team is confident that the timing of their launch is perfectly in line with the growing popularity of soccer, especially with the sport being added to the Olympics in 2028. This move will not only bring more excitement to the Boston sports scene but also add to the city’s world-class history in athletics.
