The University of Utah ELEVATE Study Center of Excellence is partnering with neighborhood organizations such as USARA, the Utah Division of Wellness and Human Solutions, and the Utah Females and Infants High quality Collaborative to present scientific proof for enhanced clinical care for vulnerable populations. This collaboration aims to address increasing maternal mortality prices by identifying and overcoming structural barriers, which includes racism, classism and stigma.
Top the ELEVATE Center is a group of U of U overall health faculty members, which includes Dr. Erin Johnson, who serves as director. Other group members involve Michelle Debbink, MD, Adam Gordon, MD, Marcela Smid, MD, Susanna Cohen, DNP, Melissa Watt, Ph.D., Dave Turok, MD, Jasmin Charles, PA, JD Smith, Ph.D. and Tom Greene, Ph.D. With each other, this diverse group of authorities will function to market far better maternal overall health outcomes via their study and advocacy.
