Shawn Quinn, a senior at Timber Lake High School, recently presented his winning project, “Ultrasonic Haptic Awareness: Phase 2,” at the High Plains Regional Science Fair in Rapid City. His outstanding performance earned him a spot at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair in Los Angeles.

Quinn’s innovative research on ultrasonic haptic awareness impressed the judges and earned him first place in the senior division of the regional science fair. This qualifying position for the prestigious international competition is a testament to his dedication and expertise in this field.

Timber Lake Middle School students also dominated the competition, with two students winning top honors.
