In the aftermath of a tragic accident, one construction worker survived the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore while six of his colleagues are presumed dead. The workers, employed by Bravner Builders, fell into the Patapsco River after a cargo ship collided with a bridge in Baltimore Harbor.

Rescue teams were unable to locate the missing workers after searching for them for several days. Two people were rescued from the water, and the rest are still missing. The freighter, named Dali, crashed into the bridge due to a power outage while the workers were on a meal break. Crew members on board were able to issue an emergency call alerting officials of the imminent collision, allowing them to stop traffic on the bridge and prevent further casualties.
