On Wednesday morning, a tragic industrial incident occurred in Huntsville, Alabama that resulted in the death of a man. According to Don Webster of Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Inc. (HEMSI), a man was killed after granite fell on him at Huntsville Granite and Marble LLC on Memorial Parkway. The victim has been identified as 32-year-old John Hopper by Madison County Coroner Tyler Berryhill.

The incident prompted an immediate response from multiple emergency response teams, including HEMSI, Huntsville Fire and Rescue and Madison County Rescue Squad, who were all on scene to render assistance. OSHA has taken over the investigation of the incident to determine the cause and prevent future accidents. This tragic event serves as a reminder of the importance of workplace safety measures to prevent such accidents.
