The health of both former president Donald Trump and current Democratic President Joe Biden has become a major issue in the 2024 presidential race. With Biden’s upcoming 81st birthday and Trump’s lead in the Republican nomination contest, their physical and mental well-being is being closely scrutinized.
On Monday, Trump’s doctor released a note on his Truth Social account stating that the former president is in “excellent health” and will continue to live a healthy, active lifestyle for many years. The note was posted on the same day as Biden’s birthday, and it was signed by Bruce Aronwald, an osteopath from New Jersey.
According to the note, Trump has maintained his weight through improved nutrition and daily physical activity while keeping up with a busy schedule. However, it did not provide any further details about his health status. It was revealed that his physical examinations were within normal limits and his cognitive examinations were described as exceptional. This note was released by a different doctor than the one who made a similar statement in 2016.
In the 2016 case, Trump’s doctor, Harold Bornstein, indicated that Trump dictated the contents of the note. In that year, he stated that Trump weighs 215 pounds (98 kg) and stands at 6 feet 3 inches (1.9 meters) tall. This information was released in connection with a wide-ranging criminal case stemming from Trump’s attempts to overturn his 2020 election loss in Georgia where he has pleaded not guilty to several criminal charges.
