During a rally in South Carolina, former US President Donald Trump announced his plans for mass deportations if re-elected. He declared that from day one, he will support the entire open borders policy of the Biden administration and begin the largest national deportation operation in history. Trump emphasized that there is no other choice and called the rejection of his legal immigration package a great victory for conservatives.

The $118 billion legislative package failed in the US Senate due to Republican opposition. The package included changes to immigration policy, and a compromise negotiated by Democrats and Republicans also tied foreign aid to US border security. The reason for the current resistance of the Republicans is their rejection of Trump’s immigration package, which was intended to use border policy as a campaign issue in the upcoming presidential elections.

Trump has openly opposed the reform package and pressured his fellow Republicans to let it lapse. The Upper House is now considering a package that completely separates foreign aid from border policy.
