UMass Libraries in Amherst is hosting an exhibit called “Making a World of Difference: Stories of Global Health.” It will be housed in the Scientific and Technical Library, Lederle Lovrise, and will last until January 6, 2024. The reception for the exhibition will be held on September 27 from 3-5 pm in the Learning Studio of the Scientific and Technical Library.

In the first part of the exhibition, which will be on display until October 7, the traveling exhibition of the National Medical Library is presented. It was curated by Ashley Bowen, public historian, educator and editor of Perspectives on History. This exhibition and its accompanying website share the stories of individuals working on issues as diverse as community health, conflict, disease and discrimination to improve health both locally and globally. These stories highlight the collaboration between communities, scientists, activists, governments and international organizations to fight disease and improve quality of life.

While the traveling exhibit ends on October 7, UMass Amherst researchers in Global Health will continue to display their work through January 6, 2024.
