In the summer of 2021, I was invited by Air New Zealand to visit their headquarters and experience their newly redesigned cabins. This opportunity allowed me to fly business class for the first time on a long-haul flight from Los Angeles to Auckland. The 12-hour flight was an unforgettable experience that left me craving more luxury in my future travels.

As someone who always yearns for the extra space, delectable food, and unlimited champagne that comes with flying first or business class, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of regret at having to pay such high prices for such a short period of time. However, as much as I enjoyed this luxurious journey, it wasn’t something I could afford again in the near future.

My perspective on premium air travel has been forever changed after this experience. While I still dream of flying first or business class in the future, I now understand the importance of balancing luxury with affordability. It’s important to cherish every moment of these luxurious experiences while being mindful of our financial limits.
