AFVERKS AFVentures, the commercial venture arm of the Air Force, has announced the release of Program Year 24.2 Strategic Funding Enhancement (STRATFI) and Tactical Funding Enhancement (TACFI) opportunities through SpaceVERKS. These programs are designed to support the delivery of capabilities required by the Department of the Air Force (DAF) by providing financial assistance for the transition of Phase II Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) contracts to Phase III work.

According to AFVERKS AFVentures’ website, the STRATFI program offers funding between $3 million and $15 million over 48 months, while TACFI provides between $375,000 and $1.9 million over 24 months. These opportunities are open to small businesses that have SBIR or STTR Phase II contracts that last at least 90 days or are completed within two years of the opportunity package submission.

Interested parties must submit an opportunity package by April 12th as per the last opportunity notice. According to Program Year 24 rules, only SBC’s Government Contact Person is eligible to submit a package on their behalf. Stay tuned to AFVERKS AFVentures for more information about the support available for space technology submissions.
