UofL Health physicians have announced a new partnership with Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC. As part of this collaboration, UofL Health will now oversee the medical care of the teams. This partnership will provide players with a wide range of services and state-of-the-art sports medicine, including an example of a special platform that uses motion capture technology to assess athletes’ movements.

The soccer teams and UofL Health also plan to implement a community initiative aimed at increasing access to soccer for children in underserved areas. This partnership marks the pooling of expertise and resources to provide superior medical care to athletes while giving back to the local community.

Racing Louisville head coach Beverly Yanez expressed her gratitude and excitement for the partnership, noting the privilege of having dedicated and knowledgeable individuals in charge of the teams. With this new partnership, football fans can expect to see the UofL Health name more prominently displayed at Linn Family Stadium. In addition, UofL Health was awarded field naming rights at the team’s training facility.

Brett Hayes, vice president of the UofL Health Sports Medicine Institute, noted that their team will be present on the sidelines during home games to address any emergencies or medical needs that may arise. He emphasized that their goal is to provide players with access to cutting-edge sports medicine treatments that will improve their performance on the field and help them recover from injuries more quickly.
