The US press is reporting that a prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and Israel, which includes the release of Palestinian women and children prisoners, could be announced within days. According to an unnamed senior Israeli official who spoke to The Washington Post, Israel and Hamas have agreed on general lines of exchange and that Israeli and Palestinian women and children will be released simultaneously in groups. Meanwhile, White House National Security Council spokeswoman Adrienne Watson has stated on social media that they are continuing to work on the agreement but have not yet reached one. Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdurahman Al Thani has also hinted that only minor difficulties remain for the prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel.
