At the 2024 World Aquatics Championships, the United States has just won two golds in two nights to lead the medal table. Nick Fink won gold in the men’s 100 breast, while Kate Douglas took home gold in the women’s 200 IM. This brings the USA’s total to five medals, including two silver and one bronze. Claire Curzon and Michael Andrews also contributed to their country’s medal haul with two silver medals each.

Germany is currently leading the women’s competition after winning its first gold medal in 15 years, thanks to Angelina Kohler’s victory in the 100 fly. Portugal has also made history by becoming its first world champion ever with Diogo Ribeiro winning the men’s 50 butterfly.

At the end of day two at this year’s World Cup, Australia is still leading with a total of 13 gold medals. However, they are looking for their first gold on night three after falling short so far. The medal standings for day two were as follows:
