Monday at Tivnan Field in Worcester, Mass., saw the Wachusett and St. Paul baseball teams face off in a doubleheader. The two teams added another chapter to their rivalry as they split the games, with the first game going nine innings and ending in a 6-5 Wachusett victory.
The Wachusett team jumped out to an early lead, scoring single runs in the second, third, and fourth innings to go up 3-0. However, St. Paul battled back to tie the game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth. Colon Kreuz had an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to send the game into extra innings. The clinching run came in the top of the ninth when Caden Lane scored for Wachusett.
