Huawei will soon release HarmoniOS Next, a new version of its own operating system. Initially, it was claimed that the new OS would not support apps made for Android, but this claim has since been denied by the company. The US ban on Huawei in 2019 led to the development of HarmoniOS as an alternative to Android. The original HarmoniOS is based on an open-source version of the Android operating system and fully supports applications made for Android.

According to Huawei executives, HarmoniOS is an operating system designed for the Internet of Everything (IoE) era, providing a common language for smart and connected features across devices. HarmoniOS 4 has already been installed on more than 100 million devices in a short period of time. Currently, there are no plans to distribute HarmoniOS to devices outside of China, so Huawei users outside of China will continue to use Android-based apps with the EMUI operating system.

While HarmoniOS Next was announced at the Huawei Developers Conference 2023, it is not yet planned for release until 2024. Additionally, there are false rumors circulating about Android app support on Huawei devices, but Android apps will continue to be fully supported on devices sold outside of China. It is important to keep information focused on the topic to avoid confusion.

In addition to this, there seems to be disjointed and random gaming forum content mixed in with Huawei news. It is important to stay informed about developments related to technology and stay up-to-date with any new releases or updates from companies like Huawei.
